KMA Gallery TO make landmark move to historic Dockerills site in Church Street, Brighton, UK

Ryan Gayler of Dockerills with Sam Gentle, Kellie Miller and Anne Cottingham of KMA

The new location will see KMA take centre stage in Brighton’s cultural quarter while doubling its size and elevating the breadth of original and unique artworks it offers.

The premiere destination for original artwork in the South East, KMA Gallery marks 11 years by moving to the historic Dockerills building at 3 Church Street, opening April 2025. Offering two floors of unique artworks by local, national and international artists, the gallery and artworks - painting, ceramics, sculpture and more - are expertly curated to tell a story through the artistic process by owner, dealer and artist Kellie Miller.

Starting as a pop-up 11 years ago, Kellie has been engaged in a multi-year search for new premises, finally arriving at Church Street. Specially selected by the highly respected family that owns Dockerills to take over their retail space, KMA’s new gallery will increase the scale and breadth of artworks on offer, as well as provide new event and collaboration opportunities within the local community. Situated a short 10-minute walk from Brighton station, the gallery will also sit next to the Brighton Dome, reinforcing a cultural quarter that also boasts the Brighton Museum, Pavilion, Theatre Royal and the Corn Exchange.

Ryan Gayler from Dockerills says—

“We felt it was important to Church Street and the North Laine community that we considered independent businesses to grace our previous shop dwelling. Kellie fits those criteria perfectly, recognised as an outstanding independent business with awards and accolades. We are looking forward to working alongside an international artist and watching the gallery establish itself in the North Laine, Brighton.”

KMA Gallery represents or works with over 100 artists, from exhibiting new collections to working on bespoke commissions and projects. With an aim to be honest, friendly and approachable, the highly skilled team at KMA educate clients on buying artworks for their environments while matching them to their ideal pieces. A proudly independent gallery, KMA seeks to connect like-minded independent artists with audiences across the world.
